How Plastic Pollution Is Affecting the Ocean

By now I’m sure you’re all aware plastics are terrible for our environment.  Just how bad are they though?  This infographic found at the Envirosax website illustrates just how bad plastic bags are for our oceans and the creatures that inhabit and rely on it.  Some of the numbers are eye opening and I hope, if you haven’t already, that this will lead you to eliminate single-use plastics from your life and choose to re-use!

    Hi Briana;
    Congratulation for success on your study. with a good hope in the ocean for future. i just would like to share an idea to do clean ups. a replicate and a sustainable concept handling waste that will provide profit and benefit on clean ups may give a good impact on many efforts against plastic waste. during this three years i do a waste bank pilot project of Ananda Bersihkan Nusa – ABN Komodo (i clean ups the islands of Komodo)at plasticman institute. i think that supports and network are required to educate and replicate this program in and around Komodo National Park as a World Heritage Site and Coral Triangle Center. PI welcome you.
