SUFB 277: 650 Pilot Whales Stranded Themselves In New Zealand

I don't like sharing this type of Ocean News, but I use it to take the chance to educate on why Marine Mammals get stranded.

No one enjoys seeing whales and dolphins get stranded. It's a sad site. Last weekend's mass stranding of 650 pilot whales of the northern coast of South Island in New Zealand is no different. However, it's a good chance to take the time to tell you why marine mammals get stranded.

In this episode, I tell you what happened this past weekend; why strandings happen in this part of the world so much; and, how people responded to it.
